Publishing has ground rules that are not difficult to master. But what about publishing in the top journals? Or even aspiring to write a book? Writing in top journals and especially authoring or editing a book can really make a difference to a career, and make a difference to the scientific community – but how does all that work? Prof. Peter Gregory (EiC Advanced Materials) and Prof. Gudrun Walter (Wiley Book Publishing Director) provide an inside view of the trends in publishing, the mechanisms and priorities applied by editors, how decisions are made, and how best to increase your chances of success.
Peter Gregory is Editor-in-Chief for Advanced Materials at Wiley-CH. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and received several Honorary Professorships from different renowned universities.
Gudrun Walter is the Wiley Book Publishing Director and an experienced STM Publisher with responsibility for Wiley’s Chemistry, Material Science, and Life Sciences books and reference programs in Europe and Asia.
