This week, from June 26 to 29, the Graphene Conference takes place in Dresden which is co-organized by cfaed Chair for Molecular Functional Materials, Prof. Xinliang Feng. One of the quests at this conference were Canadian delegation members. They visited the conference in the framework of their cooperation work with Saxony’s successful high-tech network Silicon Saxony. During this visit, the representatives of both sides had the opportunity to exchange their views on the locations of Saxony and Canada and possible cooperations for the future.

The completion of the new cfaed building (south wing of Barkhausen-Bau at TUD campus) is largely done. While in some of the laboratories still a bit work has to be done, the offices are now ready for occupation. In May and June, many of the previously scattered cfaed groups moved in, including the Chairs for Organic Devices, Compiler Construction, Network Dynamics and Processor Design as well as the research groups "Biological Algorithms" and "Networked Embedded Systems". The team of the Dresden Center for Nanoanalysis (DCN) has also taken possession of its new offices and laboratories. The administration of the Cluster of Excellence can now also be found in the new building, occupying rooms I66, I67 and I75 to I78.
