A paper by cfaed’s Principal Investigator Prof. Dr. Michael Mertig, co-authored by researchers from Dynamic Biosensors GmbH and Kurt-Schwabe-Institut für Mess- und Sensortechnik Meinsberg e.V. was published in JACS (Journal of the American Chemical Society) on 7 November 2017. The paper titled "Electrical Actuation of a DNA Origami Nanolever on an Electrode" establishes a way for interfacing and controlling DNA origamis with standard electronics, and enables their use as moving paths in electro-mechanical nanodevices. The authors gratefully acknowledge financial support of TU Dresden’s Cluster of Excellence cfaed (Center for Advancing Electronics Dresden).
